November 30th 2001 Nelly opened the Top of the Pops award show
with a blistering rendition of Turn off the Light....she went
on to win Certifications for Whoa Nelly!: 4 x Platinum: Canada. 3 x Platinum: New Zealand. 2 x Platinum: UK, USA, Australia & Ireland. Platinum: Mexico, Portugal & Switzerland. Gold: Chile, Denmark, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Sweden & Venezuela. Silver: France. |

the 27th February, at the Grammy awards Nelly performed I'm Like
a Bird 
with
guitarist Steve Vai, she also presented an award with Craig David
and Steve Vai....the highlight of the evening for Nelly fans was
her winning a Grammy for best female pop vocal performance (I'm
Like a Bird) 
and the unofficial award for best dressed artist 
..she
looked stunning. Nelly has continued her winning streak with an
award for best Canadian female artist at the World Music awards
in Monte Carlo and two awards at the West Coast Music Awards (female
artist of the year and single of the year for 'I'm Like a Bird').
